iFrogz iPod case for kids

My niece is only (almost) 5, but she loves her iPod. Imagine how left out she feels that with the hundreds of different iPod cases out there not a single one was designed just for her. Good thing iFrogz announced their Tadpole case for the video iPod. It's made especially for children (Ages 1+) and will be available in December for $25, with a variety of colors to choose from. Unfortunately I don't see these on the iFrogz website yet.

What distinguishes a grown-up iPod case from a kids-only iPod case? Handles. Big honking silicone handles, apparently. The case is targeted at parents who want to "entertain their kids with videos on the iPod but don't want to run the risk of their kids damaging the delicate devices," which means it was designed more with the parents in mind than the kids, but iFrogz has filled a need, nonetheless.

Whaddaya think... stocking stuffer for the niece? Only if it comes in pink!

my parents never bought me an ipod at five :( 'caus in 1981 it was not available. so they bought me some wonderful lego boxes and now I'm a rich engineer !

if they bought me an ipod, I would be a rich musical seller now :)

If she was your niece you'd spoil her too... trust me :) But in reality, although I have 8 iPods (job hazard) and could easily give her one that is truly her very own, the iPod she uses is the one I gave my sister (her mother) for Christmas last year. But if you have any experience with children of this age, it's not uncommon for everything to be "mine" so don't even try to convince her it's not.

Loving the Mac Genius tee! :-)

They are collectors items now, ever since the long arm of the Legal Geniuses swooped down upon us. Back then, Apple called their men in black by the name of "Apple Genius". Shortly after they squashed our tees, they started callign them Mac Genius.

And that's the rest of the story.

:D

It's hardly about being spoilt. Would you rather all four year olds got jobs instead? God, you buy children clothes too, indulging their needs again! Sweets? What kind of a parent are you, it should be gruel and water for the lot of them.

well, ipod isn't meant to be regular ipod. it would be shuffle, ipod mini, nano, old 3G, 4G ipod. giving old one to niece is Ok.

No wonder so many are materialistic. People are going around giving 4 year olds iPods.

My five year old gets an iPod when he/she gets a job and buys one. I'm not handing a $200 fragile gizmo to a five-year old, iFrogz or no.

I've never understood why parents spoil their kids rotten by just handing over expensive items like an iPod. Mine never did, and I know what a dollar is worth.
